MINDRAY LAUNCHES ADVANCED HEMODYNAMIC MONITORING SOLUTION

Mindray Medical announced they have hit a new milestone in their strategic cooperation agreement with Edwards Lifesciences, a global leader in medical innovations for structural heart disease and critical care monitoring. This latest milestone provides a solution that integrates Edwards FloTrac^TM sensor for hemodynamic monitoring into Mindray's flagship BeneVision N series patient monitors in the European market, following their launch in China in 2022.

The continuous monitoring of pressure and flow parameters is essential for the management of hemodynamically unstable patients to guide appropriate treatment. FloTrac^TM sensor connects to an arterial line and automatically calculates key pressure and flow parameters (CO, SV, SVV, SVR, and MAP) every 20 seconds.

The BeneVision N series patient monitors combine the advanced hemodynamic parameters in the FloTrac^TM sensor with other vital signs and continuous waveforms to offer greater insights into a patient’s hemodynamic instability. The monitors feature HemoSight^TM tools that systematically integrate and visualize data and to support efficient and confident decision-making in rapidly changing clinical situations. The integration of a new sensor gives the monitors a stronger capability to monitor the hemodynamic status as well as enhanced flexibility, enabling clinicians to act more proactively to prevent patient deterioration and apply individualized fluid management, especially for moderate- to high-risk surgical patients.

The integrated solution is projected to bring a proven hemodynamic monitoring solution to more critically ill patients, and provide clinicians with added clinical decision support. This milestone is a testament to the companies’ commitment to improving clinical decision-making and productivity and ultimately advancing patient care.
