Murata will attend MD&M West February 4-6 in Anaheim, CA (booth 667) to showcase cutting-edge technologies that improve lives through innovative MedTech solutions. Murata does so by producing the smallest, smartest, and most precise electronics, which serve as the foundation for healthcare solutions designed with both patients and providers in mind.
Solutions to be featured:
- Stretchable Printed Circuits (SPC): The next advancement in substrate technology, the product provides flexibility and stretchability for biomonitoring with enhanced accuracy, durability, and skin comfort.
- Piezoelectric Thin Film Sensor (Picoleaf™): This sensor delivers highly sensitive pressing force detection across the entire device surface and can identify bending, twisting, excessive force, and vibrations on curves, metal, and underwater.
- Free-form Interconnected Ceramic Device (NeuroStone™): NeuroStone™ is a 3D printed ceramic and metal substrate that facilitates equipment miniaturization. Its customizable shape allows for optimal component connections, overcoming the limitations of traditional boards.
- MEMS Implantable Pressure and 3D Acceleration Sensor Element: One of Murata’s latest cost-effective, low-power sensing solutions features a customized IC, making it ideal for high-reliability applications such as implantable devices.
- Touch-free Vital Sign and Heart Condition Tracking: The Ballistocardiograph (BCG) concept features enhanced contactless heart rate detection and precise heart disease identification through advanced Gyro Cardiography technology – all of which are powered by Murata’s low-noise, high-performance 6DoF MEMS sensor.
- Ultra Small RFID Tags (UHF/HF): These micro tags leverage cutting-edge technology for healthcare products, enabling item tracking, system automation, and enhanced security. Available in UHF and HF, their robust design allows for embedding or over-molding into the tiniest items.
- Piezo Air Pump Microblowers: Compact and silent, this product utilizes advanced ultrasonic piezoelectric technology for smooth, pulsation-free air discharge in high pressure and high flow rate options.
Other solutions to be featured include medical grade Wireless Connectivity Modules, Micro Batteries, Silicon Capacitors, Solid-State Molecular Diagnostics, and more.
Additionally, Dr. Iryna Harbar and Marty Yano from Murata’s Corporate Technology&Innovation group will be presenting a session entitled Bringing Medical Device Applications to Life: Exploring Innovations in 3D Printed Technologies (NeuroStone™) and Stretchable Printed Circuits on Wednesday, February 5 at 2:30 PM PT on the Design Alley stage.
