GETINGE LAUNCHES EASY-TO-USE AND ROBUST SURGICAL LIGHT

Getinge is introducing the new Maquet Ezea. Focusing on features that are essential for operating room (OR) staff, the versatile surgical light is easy to use, built to last and designed to align with evolving risk management standards.

Maquet Ezea is suitable for a wide range of environments, including general operating rooms, emergency departments, outpatient treatment rooms, delivery rooms, labs, and even intensive care units. Looking closer at details, Maquet Ezea comes in a round shape as well as an ultra-thin and lightweight light head that makes it easy to manoeuvre and position as well as fixed settings to streamline operations.

Maquet Ezea is fully compliant with the new IEC 60601-2-41 Ed. 3.0 standard. The 160,000 lux safety limit is rigorously upheld and never surpassed, regardless of the distance of positioning.

The surgical team can choose between fixed or adjustable colour temperatures, offering two choices of warm and cool white light to suit individual preferences. To provide a smooth and adapted illumination range, each dimming step is seen by human eyes with the same amount of light difference to preserve the surgeon’s eyes.

The engineering approach has been frugal, with simplified electronics and a reduced number of parts in the light head, which brings robustness and efficiency with eco-design always in mind.
