Siemens Healthineers and Cleveland Clinic Form 10-Year Alliance

Siemens Healthineers and Cleveland Clinic have launched a new 10-year strategic alliance to drive clinical and workflow innovation across the health system's global locations. Expanding on a 35-year relationship, the collaboration focuses on advancing diagnostic imaging, cardiology, and radiation oncology while providing clinical teams with state-of-the-art tools and training. The initiative aims to improve access, increase efficiency, and create a more personalized patient experience.

Technology Provision and Dedicated Support
Under the agreement, Siemens Healthineers will supply Cleveland Clinic with multiple therapeutic and diagnostic imaging technologies, including computed tomography (CT), magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), interventional radiology, radiation oncology, and X-ray systems. To support these deployments, Siemens Healthineers is expanding its dedicated on-site team of over 30 employees by adding specialized technicians and training personnel. This expanded team will provide crucial support for the development of Cleveland Clinic’s new theranostics cancer-treatment program, a personalized approach combining targeted imaging and therapy.

Education, Research, and Economic Development
Beyond technology implementation, the partners will establish Cleveland Clinic as a Center of Excellence for MRI technologist education. Siemens Healthineers will provide expertise in clinical education, protocol optimization, and radiation safety, while supporting physicians in expanding the use of CT into specialized fields like cardiology and image-guided procedures. The alliance also paves the way for research and innovation, focusing on the integration of intelligent software and automation into imaging workflows. Furthermore, the collaboration is expected to contribute to economic development through job creation and investment in the Cleveland Innovation District.
