Enhanced single-cell analysis for immunology, oncology, and cell biology
BD has introduced additional configurations of the FACSDiscover A8 Cell Analyzer, widening access to advanced spectral and imaging capabilities for academic, pharmaceutical, and biotechnology laboratories. These new options allow institutions with different budgets and workflow requirements to integrate high-detail cellular analysis into their research programs.
Spectral and imaging technologies combined for deeper insight
The three- and four-laser systems complement the existing five-laser model and incorporate BD SpectralFX Technology for high-parameter analysis of 50 or more features from individual cells. BD CellView Image Technology adds fast real-time imaging, enabling researchers to assess spatial and morphological details—such as protein localization—during acquisition. Labs can start with a CellView trial and upgrade later through software, supporting future expansion.
Workflow efficiency supported by automation and intuitive software
All configurations include high-throughput, walkaway automation to streamline data generation. Integrated software simplifies large dataset handling and supports standardized workflows.
